


Reverend Troy A. Tatum
Senior Minister
An ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Troy has served churches in Wilson, North Carolina; Warrensburg, Missouri; Winder, Georgia; and Atlanta, Georgia. He holds the Master of Divinity degree from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology, and graduated summa cum laude from Georgia State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in religious studies and philosophy. Troy began his ministry with Union in August of 2007.
Troy was born in Athens, and moved to Gwinnett County as a child. He grew up at First Christian Church of Atlanta, and began to hear and explore his call to ministry while an active part of that church’s youth group and the camp and conference program of the regional church. Troy continues to serve the church in the camp setting as a keynoter, music leader, director, and counselor.
Troy is passionate about creative worship, inspiring preaching, challenging study, and hands-on mission. An avid songwriter, Troy plays guitar and a variety of other stringed instruments. He is married to Leigh Ann, a Licensed Master Social Worker, and they are the proud parents of two Labrador Retrievers, Caroline and Emmylou.
